Cornucopian Theory vs. Rachel Carson

The cornucopian theory states that technology will be the main source of survival and all of the world will be saved by technology and will be produced by technology. Now at days to elude technology is impossible and all our world or daily basis spins around technology. Professionals state that we should use less technology, but every day there is even more technology and more advances that helps us to make things faster and easier. Technology is what differ us humans from all the other animal species out there. It was technology who allowed our survival in the ice age and every castastrophe we have faced. All the species who died and extinct are gone because they didnt have the bless of technology. We however were saved by it and will be saved by it.Rachel Carson is a famous environmentalist who argues against new technologies, specifically the use of pesticides, or as she prefers biocides. She claims in her book Silent Spring that DDT usage should be banned and eventually this did have an effect. DDT was in fact banned from USA a couple of years later. President John F. Kennedy listened to her claims and this resulted in DDT ban. Carson point of view might seem quite attractive to think that the DDT is really a threat and that our new technology is bad and there is something evil out there menacing our existance. Humans love this conspiration theories and they will believe any thing. The ban of DDT was in the end something negative. She should have taken into consideration that DDT is also something that kills the mosquito that prevents in LED countries. In MED countries, the ban is affordable because the people can afford other pesticides. LED countries people, however cant afford alternatives pesticides for their cost. This ban in the end killed more people than it would have if it wouldnt have been banned. Carson didnt consider also that people are aware of this issue with DDT and are working on new pesticides. Technology is here to help us gain a better and safer future. It would be her in the end who kills the malaria mosquito and every other pest in the world. WE have to get rid of this eco fanatics who say save the malaria mosquito and screw our defensless children. I say, kill the mosquito and save the children.

This graph helps us understand that we can see that when there is more years ther eis increase in temperature and there we can see that at the same time ther is an increase in technology but this help regulate with technology and there will be better advances.

This graph also states that thanks to technology there will be better nuclear advances and thanks to nuclear that is one of the best energy sources that we have for the future, it is going to be environmentally better so its going to be with more technology and mainly there will not be need of enviromental resources beacuse is going to be really good with the evolution.
