DEEP ECOLOGIST RESPONSE TO CORNUCOPIANS
ON COMMUNISM vs. CAPITALISM

First of all, we think you are very close minded people who don't realize that nature and humans are tight together. There has to be a close relationship so we can both exist. You are not taking into consideration that your very machines come from resources taken out of nature. By encouraging capitalism, you are destroying completely the whole environment. You trap people in a vicious cycle: more resource explotation allows population growth, as population grows, the demand of products increase and the effects on the evnironment are very bad. Another thing you are not taking into consideration is the impact of capitalism in the way people live. As the population grows and the demands for products grow, the more complicated life becomes. People live trapped in their works for too long in their day by day, I don't think that is a way to live. Another problem with capitalism is that it encourages unequality. Some people live like kings having all the luxuries they want, but at the same time, some people live in very deplorable conditions. This happens because capitalism is not affordable. While some countries like USA live very luxurious lives, other third world countries have very deplorable live styles. Is this really what you want? To promote poverty for the majority just for the benefit of a few?That is another point, in capitalism, only a few are benefited, the rest have very badf lifestyles. Communism, on the other hand, promotes equality and a fair distribution of goods, I think you should consider communism for the welfare of the whole human race, and not just a tiny bit of it.
